🔌Data Source Index Page

Learn what to do and how to navigate the essential page for connecting your data.

Connected Accounts

  • QBO: it shows a strange number after the 'quickbooks' string - not too worry - that is the QBO specific unique identifier and should be there

  • Shopify: should show your shopify domain store name (temeritygoods.myshopify.com)

  • Netsuite via bucket: one way to install Netsuite, can say "Netsuite via email reports" as well

"New Connections" Button

You are able to integrate with all of our native integrations there. Find more information on data integrations by navigating to this link:

"Last Data Refresh" Column

This column indicates the last raw data that is saved in your data warehouse. Essentially, this is the most recent data that is available for you to use to import data in the SmartModel™ or the data reflected in the reports

❗️Help?! My data source says "disconnected"!!

Not to worry - you can easily click on the three dots and reconnect your account source. Especially for Shopify and QBO, the process is super easy. If the issue persists, double check your wifi connection. If the issue keeps persisting please email your account rep or "support@drivepoint.io" with a screenshot and a quick message of all steps you have previously taken.

Getting Fresh Data through the "Data Refresh Button"

This feature is currently in Beta. If you want to apply email support@drivepoint.io with your request.

Refreshing data sources available for all API connected data sources: QBO, Shopify and Amazon.

Why do I need to refresh data?

  • Last Minute accounting change that should be adjusted for tomorrow's board meeting?

  • Preparing for investor meetings the night of closing the books?

Not to worry - the "Data Refresh Button" allows you to get fresh data* from the data integration anytime that you are able to import into your SmartModel™.

How do I refresh data?

  1. Click on Refresh All Data Sources OR in the three dots on the row of the data source you want to refresh

  2. Confirm your selection

  3. Stay tuned - you will receive an email confirmation once the fresh data is ready to be imported in the SmartModel™.

*You can get fresh data from Amazon and Shopify anytime whereas QBO runs on a timer. That means that Drivepoint automatically collects fresh QBO data every 60 min.

From the mouse click to fresh data to import - how does it work?

🥇Best Practices

  1. Refresh only the data source that you need instead of all data sources to save time

  2. Check the timestamp in the data source UI to see if the data source was updated (before vs. after)

  3. This is a new feature: reach out to Drivepoint with any issues - we are excited about feedback!

FAQ

My QBO time stamp shows a time before I pressed the button? How is that possible?

Contrary to Amazon and Shopify, we do not ask for QBO data on demand. We take the most recent raw QBO data (up to 60 min old) and process it. That means that the QBO time stamp (the time of the raw data) can be "older" than when you pressed the button.

I did not receive a confirmation email but my time stamp is updated in the UI. What do I do?

We are working on an issue that sometimes prevents the email confirmation. Typically it's safe to say that if the timestamp is updated in the UI you are able to import the data. Feel free to double check with the Drivepoint team though either via your Slack channel or by emailing support@drivepoint.io

I did not receive an email confirmation or see an updated timestamp in the UI. What do I do?

It can take hours to update the data depending on the data source and volume. It is very likely that the data refresh is still processing. If you have not received an email (please check your spam inbox as well) within 3 hours, please reach out to support@drivepoint.io.
