# Core Functions of the Drivepoint Add-In

**Drivepoint 2.0 is the tool you need in order to communicate between Excel and Drivepoint.**

For example, we pull your source data into the Drivepoint Cloud. In order to get it from the Drivepoint Cloud into an Excel file, you need to [import the data](https://docs.drivepoint.io/help/navigating-the-excel-add-in/core-functions-of-the-drivepoint-add-in/import-data) via the Add-In. This logic applies that if you make changes in Excel, you need to [sync them to the Drivepoint Cloud](https://docs.drivepoint.io/help/navigating-the-excel-add-in/core-functions-of-the-drivepoint-add-in/sync-to-drivepoint).
