We sometimes observe this is the case when you are not signed in properly with your Excel account or if your company does not have a Microsoft Excel 365 license. to our team with any questions in terms of which email address we should add to your Drivepoint account so that you don't have to re-add the Drivepoint Add-in every time.
Syncing pushes all of your progress from the Excel file into the Drivepoint Cloud. This currently does not happen automatically so we rely on you to press "Sync" after you have completed your working session. Learn more here.
Drivepoint is not fully synced to raw data meaning that YOU have to import fresh data into your files before a roll forward or a working session.
The Drivepoint Data Warehouse (DWH) grab raw new data from sources every couple of hours. You can see the freshest data available for you to import into your model from the Drivepoint cloud as "Freshest data available in the Data Warehouse".
When we talk about last time this data source was imported into the model it is the timestamp of when you or your colleague have pressed the "Import" button to get data into the mode.
Learn more here.
Newly imported data lives in the "R-" tabs in your Excel files. For example:
R-GL: is the general ledger and therefore the raw data import sheet for your financial information that maps throughout the file
R- DTC Product Sales Mix: is the import tab for Shopify product sales mix actuals and information.
If you import fresh data, the model should automatically update with the fresh data via Lookup formulas BUT it is always good to double check. if you want to learn more.
This essentially indicates to you, your team and us which Excel file you are viewing as your source of truth and source of actuals. If you decide to promote a new Excel file as the new live model then the Drivepoint Tech will grab actuals from that new file for all financial reports moving forward (and retroactively).
