# Pull raw data

### Why do I need to refresh data?

* Last Minute accounting change that should be adjusted for tomorrow's board meeting?
* Preparing for investor meetings the night of closing the books?

Not to worry - the "Data Refresh Button" allows you to get fresh data\* from the data integration anytime that you are able to import into your SmartModel™.

### How do I refresh data?

1. Click on the three dots on the row of the data source you want to refresh
2. Confirm your selection
3. Stay tuned - you will receive an email confirmation once the fresh data is ready to be viewed in Reports or imported in any Drivepoint SmartModel™.

\*You can get fresh data from Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop and QBO

## 🥇Best Practices

1. Refresh only the data source that you need instead of all data sources to save time
2. Check the timestamp in the data source UI to see if the data source was updated (before vs. after)
3. This is a new feature: reach out to Drivepoint with any issues - we are excited about feedback!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.drivepoint.io/using-the-web-app/data-sources/pull-raw-data.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
