# Model Roll Forward

Rolling the model forward means to replace forecasts with actuals. Click on one of the links below to learn how to roll your model forward once the books for the month are closed.

## Step by Step Guide

* In the Drivepoint Add-in, click on “Roll Forward"
* Select the month that you are trying to close (last month of actuals)
* Select all of the tabs you want to roll forward. We strongly recommend to roll forward ALL tabs
  1. 💡 We include all tabs with proper Drivepoint formatting requirements in the list (e.g. Date Spine in Row 3, etc). **Reach out to** [**support**](https://docs.drivepoint.io/help/help-1) **if you want to learn more.** 
  2. 💡You can only roll forward some of the tabs (e.g. DTC) if you want to get a partial view of the *how the month is shaking out*
* Confirm your selection
* Drivepoint will now roll the model forward by grabbing the fresh data and converting the month from forecast to actuals
* Upon completion, you can navigate to M-monthly and see whether in Row 3 the label has changed from “Forecast” to “Actual”
